Corey Marie Weeks

Corey Weeks grew up in Fort Worth, Texas with her parents and two younger sisters.  Her father, a now-retired physician, and her mother, who has spent years of her life working and volunteering in the non-profit arena, both imparted in all of their children the importance of helping and healing others.  As an undergraduate student, Corey started out as a biology major planning to follow in her father’s footsteps.    It didn’t take long before she realized her passion was rooted more in understanding the science underlying human behaviors, so she changed her focus and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lafayette College in 1999.

Corey went on to work for two years in merchandising and marketing before realizing that her passion and her degree were not being utilized in the manner she had intended.  This led to her decision to apply to law school, and thus began her journey towards working in the legal profession.

Corey graduated with honors from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2006.  Her work focused in the area of Family Law for several years, while also doing some work in the areas of bankruptcy, commercial real estate, probate and estate planning.  Ultimately, it was the areas of probate and estate planning that gave her the sense of helping and healing that had been such an important influence on her as a child and into adulthood.

Corey lives with her husband in Granbury, Texas where she enjoys spending time outdoors with their dog, Fletcher, golfing, and visiting with family and friends.
